Other heart care and vascular services

The Supervised Exercise Therapy for Peripheral Arterial Disease (SET for PAD) is a program to improve circulation and decrease symptoms of pain with walking associated with peripheral arterial disease. 

Your physician must have diagnosed symptomatic PAD and refer you to the program. He may perform testing to verify the PAD, including non-invasive ABI testing.

The SET program offers
  • Monitored and supervised exercise to improve circulation
  • Assessment and plan for exercise to improve functional ability and decrease symptoms
  • 36 sessions, 1-hour per session
  • Coverage by most insurances

Pulmonary Rehab is a program of up to 36 sessions based on an individualized and personalized treatment plan to improve symptoms of shortness of breath associated with various lung diseases, including:
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • Pulmonary Fibrosis
  • Interstitial Lung Disease
  • Lung Volume Reduction Surgery 
  • Before and after Lung Transplantation
It is generally covered by most insurance companies and assists participants to live better with their lung condition. A Pulmonary Function Test within the last year is required by most insurances prior to starting the program.

Pulmonary Rehab Offers
  • Monitored and supervised physician-prescribed exercise to improve endurance and muscle strength to help minimize symptoms of shortness of breath
  • Psychosocial support to manage living with lung disease and improve quality of life
  • Education focused on breathing training, strategies for dealing with breathing problems and symptoms, diet and nutrition and medications
