St. Joseph's Surgical Care Team.Keeping up with the latest technology and advancements, St. Joseph's Surgical Department offers state-of-the-art procedures as well as an outstanding team of highly skilled surgeons and compassionate nurses.

Both inpatient and outpatient surgical careis available, with a focus on the following specialties:

Some of the most common procedures performed at St. Joseph's Hospital include: GI procedures, gastroscopes, colonoscopes, hernia repairs, total joint surgeries, ENT (or ear, nose and throat) procedures and general surgeries.

We also offer several minimally invasive outpatient surgical procedures including arthroscopic shoulder surgery, arthroscopic knee surgery and ballon kyphoplasty, a spinal surgery used to repair compression fractures.

Our physicians are board-certified and also practice at many of the larger hospitals nearby. In addition, our nursing staff has years of experience and works as a team with the physicians and anesthetists to ensure you receive high-quality, personal care.

All scheduled surgeries take place between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. However, we also provide coverage for emergency surgeries 24 hours a day. Talk to your doctor about scheduling your upcoming surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital. We offer the "hometown advantage."

Dr. Diaz Joins St. Joseph's as a New Full-Time Surgeon

As of May 3, Jose Diaz, M.D., joined St. Joseph's medical staff as a full-time general/vascular surgeon. At the same time, he also became affiliated with the HSHS Medical Group, a growing network of primary care and specialty care physicians aligned with St. Joseph's Hospital and the 12 other hospitals in Wisconsin and Illinois that comprise Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS).
